Graduating Early With Excel High School

You’re motivated and ready to move past high school and on to your next life adventure, but your traditional high school won’t help you move as quickly as you’d like. Excel High School is a great choice for you! For students who want to graduate early, we offer a truly self-paced program and support along the way.

Our 21.5 credit high school diploma track can be completed at your own pace, on your own time. Our graduation requirements include the following credit breakdown:

  • 4 English credits
  • 3 math credits
  • 3 science credits
  • 3.5 social studies credits
  • .5 Physical Education
  • .5 Health
  • 1 Fine Arts (art, music, theater)
  • 6 additional electives

Students can transfer in up to 75% of the credits required to graduate with Excel High School, leaving a minimum of six credits students are required to take through our program in order to be an EHS graduate: 1 English, 1 math, 1 science, 1 social studies, and 2 elective credits. For students who have credits beyond our requirements, we transfer any core subject credits first before any others, so potential colleges and universities can see the full scope and most important elements of your academic progress.

Any student who is 17 or older can graduate early once they’ve earned their required graduation credits. However, students who are 16 can graduate early as long as they have taken either the SAT or ACT and earned a required minimum score. If you take the SAT, you’ll want to earn a 1270 or higher; if you choose to take the ACT, you’ll have to earn a 26 or higher. Excel offers an SAT Prep course that can help you prepare for this standardized test; the course even counts toward your elective credits. You can prepare for early graduation by taking the SAT prep course while earning required credits toward your graduation.

Students who enroll with Excel as freshmen, sophomores, or juniors can often enroll part time for their senior year with only a few class credits to complete. This means that you can enroll and complete your courses a lot more quickly than when enrolled in a traditional school. This flexibility of scheduling also allows you to either work during senior year or enroll in a few college classes early to keep your life-plan moving.

Although we offer 12 full months for you to complete each grade level, our students work through each grade level in as few as three to six months. It all depends on your motivation and available time. Our only requirements for you to move on to your next grade level are that you’ve completed all of your courses and that your grade-level tuition is paid-in-full. The more time you spend working on your courses, the more quickly you can complete them. Students have to be enrolled and active in their classes for a full 60 days before they can take their final exam and earn their credits, but after those 60 days have passed, you can earn your credit and move on.

The Support You Need

Our courses are challenging yet manageable, and we offer unique and interesting course options to keep your attention focused on your learning and your goals. As you work through your accelerated program, you’ll have a lot of support along the way. Full-time students have access to an Academic Success Coach who will help you manage your credits and plan for life after high school. Your instructors are only an email away, and you can always reach out with questions about your programs through our online chat located directly on our website.

We’re here to help you get the results you want, so if graduating early is your goal, we can guide you along the way to make sure you achieve that goal. Enrollment is easy! You can enroll online and then, if you have high school credits already, request that your previous school send us your transcripts so we can get those credits transferred as quickly as possible. Within one business day after your enrollment, you’ll have access to your courses, so you can get started as soon as possible. Students don’t have to wait to get started until we have your records. We want you to start as soon as you have course access. If you’re enrolled in any classes that you think you don’t need, you can send a support ticket or give our staff a call to get your courses adjusted.

If you’re serious about graduating early, Excel has the program and the support to help you do exactly that. Enroll now and get started on your future today!
