The American Council on Education (ACE) allows for alternative learning programs that help high school students and adult learners earn college credits while completing high school graduation requirements. Dual enrollment online can help students at Excel earn ACE credits online for transfer to other colleges and universities.
Excel offers single college credit courses that can be taken for dual high school college enrollment or just take single courses to transfer to your college and save money on tuition. Courses can be completed in weeks!
How Dual Enrollment Online Works
ACE credits allow students to earn college credits through the Excel learning system. Students can take two types of classes:
- Lower-level college courses
- General education courses
College courses are comprised of required courses, including math, science, English, Social Science, Business, and other come courses are not part of the required classes specific to your degree. Many students attempt to complete these courses at community college for transfer purposes, but high school students can get credit for these courses while simultaneously finishing the requirements for their high school diploma.
Students get a jump start on their college credits, which can have a significant impact on completing college credits faster at a lower cost.
At Excel, we allow juniors and seniors, with a minimum of 12 credits, to apply for dual enrollment ACE credits. The student will be taking their college courses alongside their high school courses, accelerating their future in the process. Adults may enroll in ACE courses at any time.
