High School Private Pilot Course
Excel High School is pleased to partner with Pilot Institute, one of America’s premier flight schools to offer private pilot and drone pilot training online. In the private pilot course, students learn what it takes to become a private pilot and pass the FAA written exam. The FFA requires pilots to be age 15-years or older, so students can begin their training in high school.
The Private Pilot Ground School course is a meticulously structured program designed to provide the comprehensive ground knowledge needed to pass the FAA Private Pilot Airplane (PAR) Knowledge Test. This foundational course is ideal for those aiming for their Private Pilot license or certificate, offering a complete understanding of essential aviation principles without any prior experience required.
Students embark on a journey through the realms of aviation, from the basics of aircraft systems and flight instruments to advanced concepts like aerodynamics and weather phenomena. The course's well-paced, digestible video lectures are crafted for clarity and ease of understanding, ensuring that students are not just prepared to pass the FAA exam, but to excel as informed and competent pilots.
With this self-paced program, students worldwide can gain a deep understanding of the 'why' behind flight, which promotes true learning over rote memorization. By the end of this extensive 2-credit, 4-semester course, learners will have mastered a wide range of skills, from aircraft operation and navigation to communicating effectively in the aviation community and planning cross-country flights.
