Honors English 10 is an extension of fundamental literary skills required for students to become effective and versatile readers and writers. Honors English 10 provides students with a variety of fiction and nonfiction reading selections chosen for their rich application of various literary structures. This course provides rigorous application training on specific literary analysis skills and promotes the application of these skills across genres. In addition, Honors English 10 promotes the expansion of student vocabulary, as well as, composition of literary analysis, informative and persuasive writing. Students will gain an appreciation for literature through applying skills that increase comprehension and promote a deeper understanding of literary techniques.
