Proctor Policy

Excel High School has announced a change in our online testing policy. Effective January 1st 2013,  all students may complete online exams only with an approved proctor present. No exams will be considered valid without a proctor certification form. What is a proctor? Proctors are individuals who agree to supervise and ensure the integrity of Excel High School online  exams. Proctors have a responsibility to facilitate fairness and integrity during online testing situations. All mid-term, final exams and HSEC exams require a proctor. No exceptions will be made for any student.

When considering earning a high school diploma online, or High School Equivalency certificate online, it is important to choose an online high school that meets a certain quality standard. One way to ensure that a school offers quality is to be certain the school is properly accredited by a legitimate accrediting agency. Excel High School is Regionally Accredited by AdvancED and the North Central Association CASI, agencies recognized by CHEA and the US Department of Education.

Excel High School offers rigorousness online programs that challenge our students to be their very best.  Part of that challenge is to offer programs that have rigor, substance and depth and really provoke our students to be creative and purposeful in the learning process.

The rational behind testing is to measure what a student has mastered and  what a student has yet to learn. We need to be sure that we are offering quality educational programs; and one way to measure that is the online testing process.  With all of that in mind, working at a distance can sometimes offer specific challenges.  We work hard to overcome challenges when working at a distance with our student. We are pleased that the school has incorporated a new proctoring policy and believe this will help with testing legitimacy.
