Excel Education Systems, one of the nation’s largest accredited online high school systems has announced a strategic partnership with Canvas LMS (learning management system.) The Excel School Board spent several months exploring innovative LMS options that will help to meet the school’s vision of delivering a world-class, accredited high school curriculum for the online high school district. Excel sought to identify the best service provider, which will allow Excel’s students to master learning outcomes and to be well prepared for employment and college.
The Excel School System is making a significant financial investment into curriculum updates to ensure that district schools are meeting national standards, and preparing students for success in university. It has always been the goal of Excel schools to utilize the latest and best technologies available, to serve our students with an exceptional online learning experience.
For new online learners, the Canvas LMS will provide for a user-friendly transition from the traditional classroom to an online classroom. As education technology evolves, Excel continues to partner with companies such as Canvas to deliver the best and most relevant educational services for our online students. Integrating Canvas into our school system will give our instructors access tools which will significantly improve teaching and learning for the 21-st century learner.
Excel Schools serve approximately 4,000 students annually. Excel’s online student population resides in all 50-States and in many other nations around the world. Excel plans to launch the Canvas LMS in January of 2016, where all students will be migrated over to the new learning management platform. The Canvas LMS platform is used by accredited schools, districts, colleges and universities all over the US and Internationally. Excel believes that Canvas offers a word-class LMS.
