Excel Group, Inc. has been offering accredited, online middle school and high school programs since 2004. The organization has been engaged in dialog with the Minnesota Office of Higher Education since early 2012, to launch the online college.
Excel Schools have a reputation for helping students pick up where they left off. Excel’s CEO, Mr. Rod Clarkson was quoted by saying: “The College will help us to continue serving our students’ at a new level. We want to see our students succeed; finish their education and earn a credential that will help them leverage their skill-set in the workplace”. “We believe that every student has the ability to learn and excel, as long as they operate in the right learning environment, with the proper tools, and have access to caring instructors.”
Excel College believes that everyone has the ability to earn a college degree without barriers. Excel College hopes to be operational on or before January 2013; offering Associate Degrees in Business, Technology, Digital Arts and General Studies. Part of the College’s three year plan will include adding additional degree programs at the bachelor level, and pursue accreditation through DETC (Distance Education Training Council).
The College will be highly focused on offering affordable, post-secondary education and helping students’ to graduate debt free. The college will offer associate degrees for under $ 5,000 and bachelor degrees for under $ 10,000. The college offered the following statement: We realize the value of students’ being able to graduate debt free. Our programs will allow students the ability to hit the ground running when they graduate with their degree. Excel students will not be bogged down by tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt. Excel College offers interest free, in house financial aid for all students.
Excel Group, Inc. also operates Excel High School, an online middle and high school. Excel High School is Regionally Accredited by AdvancED and the North Central Association CASI, Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
