Excel High School HSED/GED Program
Excel High School offers our Accredited HSED/GED program, which allows students to obtain a diploma in just a few weeks. We also offer a GED prep course for those students that wish to take the State GED test; administered by General Education Development.
Our GED course is a one credit GED prep course and practice tests that will help prepare you for the State administered GED test.

Excel High School will help you prepare and pass the GED Test
The GED testing program is jointly administered by the GED Testing Service (GEDTS) of the American Council on Education. Who is eligible to take the GED tests?
The GED tests can be administered only to persons who:
- have not graduated from an accredited high school or received a high school equivalency certificate or diploma;
- are not currently enrolled in a regular high school;
- are at least 18 years of age.
- You are allowed to take the GED a maximum of three times in a testing year
What are GED tests like?
Five separate tests make up the GED battery of tests. Test questions range in difficulty from easy to hard, and cover a wide range of subjects. All the questions on four of the parts are multiple choice with five possible answers given. Part II of the Writing Skills Tests does require you to write an essay.

Excel High School GED Test prep course can help you pass the GED test, without multiple attempts. You may only attempt the GED test 3-times per year. If you do not pass in three attempts, you will need to wait until the next year to re-test.

* Our GED Test Prep course is a 1-credit high school course and you will receive a credit, a certificate of completion and transcript for this course.
Excel High School does not offer the GED test online. The GED test is not offered online anywhere. You must take the GED test at an authorized testing facility. The test is conducted and administered by GED Testing Service and State officials.

GED: Key to Success
Course Description
The GED: Key to Success course uses the motif of keys—keys that unlock each student’s academic potential. Students review lessons in five academic areas: writing skills, social studies, science, literature, and mathematics. Practice quizzes and exam questions, along with the expert advice of the instructor, prepare the student for the test.
