April 28, 2013 by official

Saying you’re going to finish high school is easy.

Actually finishing it can prove a little more difficult.

But it’s important that you do.  A high school diploma is the doorway to all sorts of possibilities, from a better job to a college education and more.  Studies show that high school graduates not only make more money in their life, but they live longer too.

So how do you go back and get your diploma?  There are a few ways.

But First

Before you begin your quest to finish you high school education, you’ll need to track down your high school transcript.  Your high school transcript has all of the classes you’ve completed so you can figure out which ones you need to take.

Wherever you end up going, they’ll want a copy of your transcript.

To get your transcript, simply contact your previous high school, and they should be able to get you a copy with no trouble at all.  Do not let this step stop you from finishing high school.  It’s very easy to do this.

How to Finish Your High School Education

What path you take from here is up to you.  Community colleges typically offer alternative classes so you can finish what you need.  There is also the possibility of earning your GED which is a high school diploma equivalent.

In order to do that, you need to take a GED test at a designated testing location.

If neither of these option appeal to you, you can start at an online high school.  Online school provides an easy way to get back into the world of education.  With classes that are taken according to your schedule, online school provides the ultimate convenience.

We also make it very easy to be either part time or full time, so you can go at your own pace.

Excel High School is a great school! My daughter was in another online highs school last year, but she was not challenged and was not being prepared for college.

Since starting this year at Excel, she is being fully challenged in honors courses. My daughter told me the other day, "mom, I have never had to work so hard in school". We love you Excel High School and Anna will be with you until she graduates next year.
